The Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyer’s fall seminar will be held on November 8th and 9th and feature a number of presentations on topics in criminal defense. This year’s seminar is presented by Larry Duttweiler and Nazish Ahmed and will include lectures from judges and defense attorneys from across the state. Every GACDL seminar has a theme; this year it’s “Braving the Jungle of Criminal Defense.”
I’ll be presenting at the seminar the morning of Saturday, November 9th. My talk will focus on effective closing arguments in criminal trials. I’ll also cover the myriad ways prosecutors commit misconduct in their own closing arguments and how to combat those problems.
This seminar is always a lot of fun and a great way to meet criminal defense lawyers and learn new practice strategies. You can also earn CLE credit (including legal ethics hours). It takes place at the beautiful Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, Georgia, a setting which is always particularly spectacular in the fall. To register online visit www.gacdl.org.
